Be the change you want to see in the world

Late Night with Mayu Saeki

Last night I got the opportunity to check out the beautiful Mayu Saeki and her quartet at Garage. Her mix of originals and Jazz standards left nothing but a complete night of great music. She even asked me to get on the mic one time to do a freestyle!

Live Recording with Niia Bertino – May 11, 2010

A few weeks ago, I got the opportunity to record Niia Bertino at Goodbye Blue Monday where she hosted a concert exclusively for recording. Her set was incredibly amazing and after putting her songs on my iPhone to test the mixes I found myself keeping them there!

“Interpretations 2010″ – Roulette [April 29]

Joan La Barbara and Ne(x)tworks along with Yael Acher-Modiano and Irina-Kalina Goudeva delivered a very exciting and dramatic performance last night at Roulette. La Barbara’s “Angels, Demons, and other Muses” was a soundscape of vocal and instrumental textures while Acher’s “Two-Walk” with its dialogue between flute and cello accompanied by poetry and electronic ambience felt like one was instantaneously transported to the Metropolitan Opera House. Roulette is a great space and I’m really glad that I was there for the concert!

Check out Joan La Barbara and Yael Acher-Modiano.
