Encore Music Forum is a New York City-based concert series program dedicated to the exposure, promotion, and support of the top emerging fine arts musicians. Our mission is to build a respected outlet for new musicians through performance, collaboration, and networking.
The inspiration for Encore Music Forum came initially from founder Ted Clayton’s appreciation of classical and other forms of contemporary music, his involvement as a classical sound engineer and performer, and where he saw a contribution could be added. The premise for the concert series is that in fine arts music there are many organizations that foster talent but few that encourage collaboration and networking. In addition, Encore Music Forum aims to attract new and diverse listeners through its eclectic programs as well as proactively function as the leading liaison between popular and fine art music.
EMF promises to apply the highest standards of creativity, integrity, quality and innovation to our performances and concepts.
Encore Music Forum was conceptualized in the summer of 2007.

Ted Clayton is a curator, producer, sound engineer, and musician based in New York City. Having been born and raised in the Bronx, NYC, his musical roots are deeply influenced by the Hip-Hop culture. However, also having an ear to appreciate the many different genres of music, at New York University he became interested and began to establish himself as an engineer for Classical music. His professional career started in 2005 with the Wu-Tang Clan then later in 2006 with Philip Glass’s Looking Glass Studios. To date he has also worked with George Clinton, Q-Tip, and Dhani Harrison (son of the Beatles’ George Harrison), Tony Visconti, Michael Riesman, and Nico Muhly. Project highlights include Philip Glass’s “Les Animaux Amoureux Soundtrack” and “Music In 12 Parts” 2007 Reissue, 50 Cent’s “I Get Money”, and Wu-Tang Clan’s “8 Diagrams”. Mr. Clayton received his Bachelor in Music Technology from New York University.
