Sad day in Hip-Hop! At 43, Guru lost his fight with cancer yesterday. This after being in coma as well as suffering a severe heart attack earlier this year. Along with DJ/producer DJ Premier, Gang Starr created some of the most memorable songs in Hip-Hop music – “Mass Appeal”, “You Know My Steez”, “Royalty”, and many more. You will be missed!

Thank you to everyone who attended last night’s concert at the C. Bechstein Piano Centre. If you couldn’t make it, you missed a really great show! (Photos and video will be out soon.) A special thanks to the C. Bechstein Piano Centre, the Los Angeles New Music Ensemble, DJ Journey, MoeRoc, Sophia May, all the composers, performers, supporters, and team.
