Brandee Younger will be playing this coming Sunday, April 25 at St. Mary’s Spring Concert. Music for the evening will include works by Mozart, Debussy, Laura Kahle, and arrangements by Brandee Younger. Tickets are $15 – $10 for Seniors and Students.

In its first concert of 2010, Encore Music Forum presents More Than Music, a special night of Hip-Hop and Classical music. Produced with the Los Angeles New Music Ensemble, the program features DJ Journey and MC MoeRoc. The concert will be held at the C. Bechstein Piano Centre, 207 West 58th Street (between Broadway and 7th Avenue) on April 15th at 8 pm. Tickets will be $10 at the door.

EMF promises to deliver one of its most engaging concerts so far. A good friend of mine, Marlon Daniel, will be conducting next week Thursday, August 13, 2009 7:00 PM at Merkin Hall as part of his Piano Passions series. The title of the program is “Beethoven Concerti”. The concert will feature Richard Dowling, Kimball Gallagher and Beatrice Long. Mr. Daniel also performed at the EMF concert last month.
